The Winter Blues
Actually, this is one of my favorite tables since I redid my dining room!
Funny how you start with one piece and the whole thing falls into place.
I started with the set of everyday blue and white dishes that I found last year at Goodwill!
I kept going to my cupboard for anything blue and white!
The Fiesta bowl matched perfectly.
Oh, I love this soup tureen. It is so pretty but isn't real old. I love that it has it's own ladle.
Now for some candle light.
I found this little teapot at Goodwill too.
One piece of Blue Willow for good measure.
A great serving bowl that I had forgotten I had!
The bird S&P are for the hope of spring!
This little plate was a souvenir from The Old Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, KY
This little plate is from Shirley Plantation in Charles City, VA I thought we should visit there for sure since it is my name.
I loved visiting plantations much to my husband's dismay. The couple times we drove down to FL, I think we visited dozens of them.
This little old flow blue plate is perfect for the candle below.
I think I'll just let this table setting be for awhile. It looks so pretty in there!
Shirley
Beautiful! I love all your blue dishes, tureen and teapot! Your bird salt and pepper shakers are so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour blue is beautiful, I love the soup tureen. Oh and I love your dining room chairs too! Your photos are beautiful, especially the candlelight ones. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and personal table Shirley! Especially lovin' the souvenir plates-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteI love the tureen, the dishes, the silver.. the whole table is really something to beat the winter blues!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Perfect complement to your beautiful dining room walls. I LOVE blue and white dishes. Have the Blue Willow myself and I never ever tire of it.
ReplyDeleteI am simply bent out of shape over that soup tureen!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous! I'm already a forever fan of blue and white, but that really gets me to the core! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteShirley, How did you find time to do all of this today? Did the grandkids get to come over?
ReplyDeleteI love this table top, too. I did blue and white in my kitchen afew years ago, and loved it but like all things, I got bored and changed it out.
Your b&W's are so pretty and I really like the dishes that come from different places.
How is Rocky feeling today? Besides having to wear a pink bow. Still praying for him and put him in the God Box.
Are you plowed out? Plower guy is going to earn his money this time. LOL

Beautiful tablescape! Amazing how one can find pieces that were not part of a set, but random items, and when placed together just make it! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteHey girlie, you have won an award! Come on over to my place to pick it up!
