Pineapple Marinade Pork Chops

I'm linking up with Michael Lee at Designs By Gollum for "Foodie Friday"
Hope you'll visit her and all the other participants.
Here's her link:

Pineapple Marinade Pork Chops

I used a couple butterfly pork chops but any pork chop would be fine.
1/4 Cup low sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp minced ginger (optional)
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2-1 can crushed pineapple

I didn't have any red pepper flakes so I used some course ground pepper plus some caraway seeds which I always have to put on any type of pork.

This is the soy sauce plus the other ingredients mixed up.
This could also be used to marinate the pork chops for a few hours before browning.

I lightly browned the pork chops.

Place chops in greased baking dish and pour soy mixture over them.
Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 25 min.

Good served over rice with a green vegetable

(Sorry about the flash picture)
It was yummy.

Help Me!!!!!!!!!!!

It's true, I do maybe have trouble making decisions. I once brought 5 different sets of living room curtains home before I picked one!
Paint, especially this yellow paint, is so hard to pick. It's for the walls in the big family room. The family room has lots of windows and every where you set these samples they look different.
So far I've brought home 6 samples of paint colors. (Thank goodness Behr has these little jars of paint samples!) These are four of them. The other two were too lemony.

My sister likes the deepest one but I am afraid it may be too bright. I want the room to look sunny but not blinding!

I refuse to get any more samples. What to do, what to do!!!!!
What do you all think????
Confused in Medina.

In Love

Yes, they're totally in love with the new round hay bale.
It was round and bigger than this just a few days ago.

Since there's no new grass coming up yet, they just bury their faces in this and MUNCH!

At first, Preacher claimed the whole bale and wouldn't let any one else by it but now he allows Echo to share!

Mine, mine, mine!

They chase Satire away so we had to make other piles where he could eat too. Satire accepts being the Omega horse very graciously.

Oh YUM!

No Tablescape!

Yes, that's right. No tablescaping for at least 2 weeks. You can see here that my dining room is full! It's full of a lot of the stuff from my family room. I'm having some big things done to my family room which I will reveal in a week or so.

But, as you can see, there's no room for a tablescape! Can't do one in the family room by the fire place either and it's in the 30's outside, so no dining on the deck!
It's always so disruptive to have things displaced and torn apart. It confuses me, which isn't hard to do.

I swear there are things I'll never find from when my kitchen was redone!
No babysitting for a couple weeks!

My Beloved Eggos!

I am one of your biggest fans.
I have 2 Eggos every morning of my life, along with orange juice, fruit and coffee.

I've been very faithful even after your plant flooded and I can no longer get Apple Cinnamon ones!
Now, I find it only fair that I should win the $75,000 don't you!!

Nature walk in the Pasture

I'm linking this little nature post with A Southern Daydreamer for "Outdoor Wednesday".

I was walking around the pasture yesterday with the horses when I noticed this one tree with these peculiar holes in it. There were no other trees around with the holes. I had heard a woodpecker tapping while I was walking around but once I got close to the tree the sound stopped and I saw no woodpecker. The big hole is about 3 inches in diameter and the small holes are so precise it is amazing. I took the picture back to the barn and they said that it was indeed made by a woodpecker. Amazing. How big is this fellow anyway! I'm keeping my eye out for him and hope to get a photo sometime.

There were about 4 squirrels busily running around. Up and down the trees and chasing each other. Awww, Spring!

Happy Wednesday.

Spring in the Pasture

Cool and Sunny

That's exactly how the horses like it!
I let them into the big 5 acre pasture and they took off running.

Echo was really full of himself!

He raced around like crazy.

Satire says, "Hey, wait for me!!"

A good roll is a must.

Then more jumping and kicking.

And more running.

Until finally they got down to the important job of grazing. The spring grass hasn't started to grow yet so they stayed out for about 3 hours.

Satire came back to the door a little early as he knows when his lunch time is!!!
I am already stiff. I walked that big pasture about 4 times! I wanted to be out there with the horses today.

Checking On Spring

I went for a little walk around the yard today, checking on spring's progress. It was a little cool, (in the 40's) but it was sunny and the sky was a beautiful blue.

These day lilies are bursting through all over.

I see Mr Bunny made it through the winter alright.

These burgundy colored things will be nice big bleeding heart bushes in a month or so.

And here is the progress of my daffodils.

See the buds??? Oh happy day!
This is a little garden report from NE Ohio!

A Spring Tablescape

Linking up with "Tablescape Thursday" over at Susan's BNOTP. Please stop by and see her blog and all the others participating.

I've been waiting patiently to do something Springy! It's nothing fancy but so nice to have the lighter colors and tableware out.
Also there's a wee bit of green for St. Paddy's Day!

These plates were a GW find awhile back.

I really wish I could've had real live flowers but since I was babysitting while I was putting this together, a miracle in itself, I couldn't go out and get flowers. And there's certainly none in my gardens yet!!

I did the candlelight photography pretty quickly, praying that nothing (like the Spanish moss) would catch on fire!!

I should've eaten my dinner in here tonight!!!!

Have a wonderful Thursday. It's supposed to be 60 degrees and sunny here!!
That sure doesn't happen often on St. Paddy's Day here in the Cleveland area!!!
