What IS That???
I went down to the pantry to get something and found these two cans like this!!!!
They were stuck together almost like they were cemented!
And there was this GROWTH on the side of the small can!!
Looks like an alien to me!!!!
I was brave and took it outside to open as the top can was so black you couldn't tell what was in it. It looked like it had been painted black.
OH MY!!!!!!!!!!
Surprisingly it didn't stink but then I didn't put my nose way down there.
My best guess is, by the size of the can, that these were mushrooms!!!!!!
I don't think I'll buy them in a can anymore. Just sayin'
Shirley
oh yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm nearly certain that the can of mushrooms, for that is what they look like, was damaged. Air could get in, and with it bacteria. It spoiled, oozed back out through the damage in the can, and VOILA - - - you have a very virulent fungi garden in your pantry.
ReplyDeleteObviously - - - DON'T EAT IT OR EVEN TOUCH IT OR LICK IT AND KEEP YOUR NOSE AWAY FROM IT!

Barf!!!! Botulism at its best/worst? Most canned mushrooms around here come from China now. We are very careful when we buy any canned goods to make sure they come from countries that are a little more stringent with their health checks.
ReplyDeleteYes! I wore rubber gloves to open it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteEwwww and LOL. I had a similar experience this weekend myself.
ReplyDeleteNot as bad as this, though. When you consider that mushrooms are a fungus of sorts to begin with, it makes this all the funnier.
