The day after the storm
I let the horses out in the paddock. They like being out in the snow. Nothing to eat so I threw out some flakes of hay after I took the pictures.
Isn't Preacher handsome in his plaid! Of course our "babies" are the only ones with coats!
Other than Satire because of his age and his recent surgery, the horses don't really have to have coats but it makes us humans feel better : )) We take them off if it's over 30 degrees.
Echo!!! Your coat is a mess!!!! What did you lay in?? (3 guesses!!)
The tracks they made in the new snow reminded me of a game we used to play when I was a kid. We'd make a big circle then cut across like pieces of a pie and there would be a "safe spot" in the middle. It was sort of a tag game but I can't think of the name for it if there was one!

Always love your horse photos Shirley. There's nothing like owning a horse. I miss it sometimes.

Oh Shirley, they are wonderful! I admit to jealousy. I am a huge horse lover but have enjoyed them from the farms of others. They're beautiful!
ReplyDeleteShirley,
ReplyDeleteYour babies are beautiful. All the pictures look like postcards!
Shirley, I used to play that same game...now I'm going to have to think really hard to remember the name!..I think we've both found the "middle"...:)JP
