Christmas to Winter Tables

Yes, it was time to re-do my tables from Christmas to a L-o-n-g Winter Table-scape!
Nothing too fancy but I can live with blue, my favorite dish colors, for a few months!
I changed the places on my kitchen island.
My curtains are yellow so this goes and looks a little bit French Country.

Then I re-did the dining room table to this:

Must have tea!

and also "Blue Monday" here"

Have a good day and stay warm!!

A Simple Christmas Table-scape

I haven't done a table-scape in awhile but I wanted to do a Christmas one.
I had gotten this new table cloth and also learned to do a Christmas Tree napkin fold!!
I think there's a you tube video about how to do it somewhere.

And for the tea drinker.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

A Rerun of Red October

I wrote this post about 3 years ago so I'm betting most of you haven't seen it.  I liked it so I'm do a "re-run".

RED !

I didn't get a chance to do any tablescaping with my red dishes this summer so I decided that red is also a fall color!
So I've blended it with the oranges and yellows of the season.

Most everything either came from Marshalls or Goodwill. I've been collecting little bits of red for awhile.

These red square plates with the hummingbird are one of my favorites.

Oh yes, these leaf s&p shakers are a recent purchase from Walmart.

Fall colors are particularly beautiful with candlelight.

I'm loving my dining room now and will have Thanksgiving dinner here with just my children and grandchildren.

I have linked up with Susan's "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps On The Porch". You can find her wonderful and inspiring site here:

Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a little comment if you so desire.
Love hearing from you all.

Beatrice Potter for Easter

This is a favorite post of mine that I put on a couple years ago.
Happy Easter Everyone.

My simple Easter tablescape was inspired by the Beatrix Potter books.
I saw a movie about her life and immediately looked for the collection of her children's books.
I found them on eBay and love them.

So far my grandchildren are too young to handle them but I will soon be reading them to the two of them when they are old enough to sit still!

All the dishes on the table were thrifty buys from either Goodwill or garage sales!

Have a wonderful Easter everyone.
He is Risen.

Winter Supper By The Fire

It was cold and damp out today.  The kind of cold that just goes through you.
I started a fire in the fireplace to warm myself.
I pulled up a small tea table and decided to have supper in here.
So cozy.

Simple Menu:
Turkey Burgers
Turkey dressing
Green beans

Tea and shortbread cookies for desert.
Have a nice evening everyone.

Valentine Party

It's almost valentines Day so I'm posting this table with Susan At BNOTP for "Tablescape Thursday". Find all the other participants and Susan's wonderful blog here:

A Re-do On My Valentine Party

Red and white. My second favorite after blue and white or just plain white.
I'm "replaying" this post because it was one of my favorites!

I suppose I could've gotten some red rose petals instead of the little hearts but that's all I could think of with these dishes I had.

This entire table are dishes from GW or some other thrift shop. (Except for the square polka dot plates which are from Marshalls.)

The red stainless flatware is from Walmart.

Awww, the tea drinker (me) will sit here.

I had to use my birdies again. Lets call them love birds.

As evening approaches I light the candles.

Now it looks very romantic.

I didn't really have a centerpiece so I had to improvise!

Layering dishes, I love it!

Now, all I need is Mr Valentine!!
No, No, I was fibbing!!!!!!!!
I didn't say that!
Nope, nope nope!!!

Happy Valentines Day everyone.
