Spring in the Pasture

Cool and Sunny

That's exactly how the horses like it!
I let them into the big 5 acre pasture and they took off running.

Echo was really full of himself!

He raced around like crazy.

Satire says, "Hey, wait for me!!"

A good roll is a must.

Then more jumping and kicking.

And more running.

Until finally they got down to the important job of grazing. The spring grass hasn't started to grow yet so they stayed out for about 3 hours.

Satire came back to the door a little early as he knows when his lunch time is!!!
I am already stiff. I walked that big pasture about 4 times! I wanted to be out there with the horses today.

  1. They just look so happy. Made me smile just looking at them. :)

  2. Thank you so much for the beautiful pictures of your horses. They are such magnificent creatures. I wish their pastures were in my back yard.

  3. What a great day you and the horses had! They play so much! I loved them rolling around! My animals do that, the dogs even roll around in poop.
I love it that they were so playful. Been couped up too long, just like we have been this past winter.
Thanks for sharing. This is as close as I can get to horses now.

  4. Your horses are so beautiful. They looked like they were having lots of fun. Thanks for sharing with us!

  5. They are just beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing their joy with us. I really enjoyed this!

  6. how fun, spring being here makes me want to kick up my heels too!

  7. Whoo Hooo! Thanks for sharing these free-spirited beauties...I know how they must feel, it's SPRING!

  8. I can see the smiles on their faces. I have never seen horses rolling around like that. Fun.

  9. What beautiful horses you have. They sure looked like they were having some fun kicking up their hooves. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.I could see how Echo could have broken a few things by accident, he's a big guy. My daughter's warmblood Nate once broke her eye socket with his knee while she was bending over wrapping a leg or something. They're powerful to say the least.
