All My Tea Pots . . . . so far

I saw a post on someone's blog about their tea pots and it made me look around to see how many I've collected over the years.
I have quite a few so I thought I'd show them to you.

I have 11 so far.

This is my newest one I bought a few weeks ago on eBay.

I think I picked this one up at a garage sale

These next two were from my aunt Addah's estate.
They are antiques and treasured pieces in brown transfer.

This cute little 2 cupper was from a garage sale.

This is the little 2 cupper I use a lot for my afternoon teas when it's just me.
It's by Sadler and I forget where I got it.

This looks the same but is a bigger 6 cup pot.

I think I got this one at Marshalls

My Christmas tea pot that came with the little book "A Cup of Christmas Tea".

I bought this one at Marshals

I forget where I got this little single pot with it's own cup.

That's it for now.  All my pretty tea pots.

Cup of tea anyone?

Shirley

  1. Oh! I totally love this collection of teapots!! Whenever I'm interested on tea set or a dinner china; I first look at the teapots and teacups to see if I like them, only than do I go on to buy the entire china, lol..Each one is lovely..now are they lose or do any belong to a complete set of dishes? Have a great week.

    1. To Fabby: All are separate tea pots. They don't belong to sets of dishes.

  3. Love the tea pots Shirley! The brown glazed one is very similar to the traditional English 'Brown Betty' tea pots that were made in Stoke on Trent Staffordshire from a special local red clay, they were glazed with a brown manganese glaze which was known as a 'Rockingham Glaze' (Rockingham is a famous English pottery.) The red clay was supposed to have heat retaining properties and during the height of tea drinking popularity in the Victorian era the shape was developed to allow the leaves to swirl easily in the pot to make the perfect brew! It is still available and is very popular tea pot.

  4. Hi Shirley, You have some lovely teapots. My favorite is the Christmas one.
Regarding spam, I used to get alot of it and by not allowing anonymous commenters, I now have none (without word verification). Just a thought.
    Have a nice week!
