Gratitude

I recently found a journal that I kept for awhile a few years back, before blogging! It's called "The Simple Abundance Journal of Gratitude". (by Sarah Ban Breathnach) I think there was a book that went with it too. I was reading it and decided that every once in awhile, I'll just put some little thing that makes me smile or I'm grateful for on a little sticky note. So when you see these stickies, that's what it is; my gratitude notes.

See, just a tinny post.
Have a great day too.
Shirley

  4. I have Simple Abundance and enjoyed reading it too. I think I also have the Gratitude Journal somewhere but don't think I really kept up on my entries. Good idea putting post-its on here. I so enjoy reading your blog.

  5. Sometimes the tiniest ones are the most powerful. I had a literature/writing professor ask me to consider, whenever I wanted to add intensifiers to something I was writing, which of the following two phrases is stronger: (1) I love you; (2) I love you very much. I submit that often an "intensifier" simply weakens. Blessings on a beautiful (at least, here) Sunday!

  6. Little thoughts, simple smiles . . . when you come to realize these are the things that truly matter and made your day :-)

  7. Hello Shirley,
Thank you for your nice comment on my blog.
I absolutely adore your house. It is so sweet and lovely.
I actually have a copy of the book, Simple Abundance. I refer to it every now and then. I also leave it by the bedside of our overnight guests because it is easy to read in small snippets.
I am thoroughly enjoying your blog.
    Best regards,
    Joanne
