It Snowed and Snowed

Yesterday I Was Snowbound

It just snowed and snowed all night and all day! My snowplow guy, Bruce, plowed my driveway, but by late afternoon you could hardly tell. Well, I wasn't going anywhere anyhow!

I trudged out to the mailbox. Doesn't my road look like it would be fun to sled down!

Cold, cold, cold.

My poor summer potting bench!

Oops, logs covered again!

These are hollyhock seed pods. They'll drop by wind (or my hand) and will get rained into the ground in the spring to add to my "hollyhock forest".

I'm loving my fireplace this winter!

I'm linking with My Romantic Home for "Show and Tell Friday".

  1. Gazing outside from within, knowing the warmth of the fire is there..waiting...and perhaps a good book...that's a good thing about winter. Your garden looks lovely cloaked in white.

  3. Oh my, are your photos just beautiful. You can keep that hill. Looks dangerous to me. Good day to stay home. Love the snow stuck on the screen. It all looks so calm and soothing. You're getting your money's worth out of the fire place this year.

  4. Brrrrrrrrrr. And about that road, all I see is a treacherous drive!! I'm glad I don't live there and have to drive that hill on icy surfaces. LOL

  6. Please share your hollyhocks when they are in bloom. I haven't seen them since I was a kid. Stay warm! La

  7. Beautiful!
Snow is magic; I love how it turns everyday landscapes into vintage black and white postcards.

And YES share pics of your hollyhocks when they bloom; I don't see them anymore.

  8. Hi Shirley,
First time over. I love your snow pics through the window! I have a picket fence, so your picture drew me in.
Please stop over and visit when you have time. I love your horse in the header and the dog!
