Limited Pinks

Joining up with "Pink Saturday" over at Beverly's "How Sweet the Sound".

Just A Few

I had to go back into some of my iPhoto archives and find some pinks for this week!
This is Miss Ellie. She always has that scowl on her face!! She's laying on an old pink comforter up in my upstairs hallway.

"New Dawn" climber that I'm taking out this year. Even though it's a beautiful rose, it blooms once for a short time and then every year the leaves get eaten by something and it looks horrible the whole rest of the summer. So I'm going to dig it out and try something new. Maybe a Grandiflora that doesn't climb all over. This one actually attacked me as I was cutting it down I swear. I have the scars to prove it.

A beautiful old fashioned rose. I forget the name!

And my Cone Flowers are in bloom. One of my favorite flowers.
Happy Pink Saturday.

  2. I love cone flowers too--those are beautiful. I am disappointed about the new dawn. I have heard so many great things about them in the mags. I had considered them. I do have some carpet roses which I really love because they have no care. But they are not climbers.

  4. Thanks for the answer about the oven. I am also looking at the GE Profile series as I also just have electric and bringing in gas is a small fortune. Since this is a beach house I don't want to spend the $$$ to convert. I go back and forth between putting in the stainless appliances or the white with the fridge and the dishwasher to match the wood cabinets? Lots to think about since the wall be down and we are having one big living space. So many decisions and so little time to make up my mind:-)
