Pinks for Saturday 6-3

Blooms for Pink Saturday

My hollyhocks across the back of the garage are in full bloom!

All colors but here's some pretty pink ones.

Also my Cone flowers are just starting to bloom too!! See the tiny bee.

We are being inundated here with Japanese Beetles! Is anyone else having this problem! They are on everything!! YUK!
I made the mistake about 5-6 years ago getting the beetle traps. We filled 3 or 4 of them every single day. They we realized that we were attracting every Japanese Beetle from all our neighbors! So I'm hoping my neighbors get the traps this year!!! Not ME!!

  1. Love the Hollyhocks! Not sure if I told you or someone else about the systemic pesticide that you pour into the soil around the shrubs, bushes & trees. It wouldn't help you this year, but next year get it at Lowe's. It is from Bayer in a blue bottle and it is a little pricey, but it lasts 12 months.
Thanks for the nice comment on my new granite countertops!
Have a nice 4th of July!

  2. Your wall of hollyhocks is beautiful! I've grown them twice, each time they ended up white, love to see the different colors!
