I've had a high blood pressure scare of late so I'm trying to eat healthier. (At least part of the time!)
I do have this sweet tooth thing going on.
But I've switched my sweetener from Splenda to Stevia.
I heard about doing that on Dr. Oz!
It took me about a week to get used to my coffee etc. not being quite so sweet but it's all good now and Stevia is a natural herb.
I'm also supposed to watch my salt intake now. At times I crave salty things.
I asked my Dr.
"If you crave something, doesn't that mean your body needs it?"
He laughed and said "NO!
Phooey!
Well. my chickens give me healthy, organic eggs.
Much better for you than factory raised ones since my chicken get fresh green everyday!
Eating more salads, especially spinach.
Homemade soups.
And the other night I bought some fresh salmon and baked it.
OK, that does look like a lot of butter, but it was a big potato!
(I used salt substitute!)
Any ideas what I can have that's low in salt but still good!

ReplyDeleteOh your food looks delicious, but I'd recommend not using sweeteners at all, natural doesnt mean its good for you!! Try honey instead, sweetener tastes like chemicals!
