I get bad back pain when I sit at the computer for long periods of time. I know it's because my posture suffers. I start out sitting in pretty good alignment but after just a few minutes of getting engrossed in something I'm doing on the computer, I start slumping. After awhile of this, my back is killing me.
My daughter told me I should try an exercise ball to sit on.
It's supposed to improve your posture and strengthen your core.
So today I got a yoga ball (65cm) and inflated it when I got home and I'm going to try it.
It says to start with short 15 minutes segments at first.
The first thing I noticed is that you can move around on it a lot while sitting, keeping the back muscles loose. I did sit too straight at first, arching my back which made my back hurt even more . . . so don't do that!
We'll see how this works. I'll keep you informed.
If any of you out there use a ball for your desk chair, let me hear from you.
There are pro and con articles about this but here is one that seemed to make sense.

I hear only the best about these balls--I'll be curious to see what your review is!
