Beatrix Potter Tablescape

I'm linking my Easter bunny tablescape with Susan at BNOTP for "Tablescape Thursday".
Find her wonderfully inspiring blog here:

My simple Easter tablescape was inspired by the Beatrix Potter books.
I saw a movie about her life and immediately looked for the collection of her children's books.
I found them on eBay and love them.

So far my grandchildren are too young to handle them but I will soon be reading them to the two of them when they are old enough to sit still!

All the dishes on the table were thrifty buys from either Goodwill or garage sales!

Have a wonderful Easter everyone.
He is Risen.
Alleluia

  2. Shirley! Hi! First let me say how pretty your header is as it heralds in spring!! Looks great! I really like the table you created here. Although I don't own any Beatrix Potter books, I am quite familiar. Your table is a wonderful interpretation of those works! There is something about that plaid runner that just makes me think Beatrix Potter! I don't know why! It just works so well with the pretty accoutrements you have on the table. Very nice!

  3. First, let me comment on that gorgeous header. Wow!
Your Beatrix Potter inspired table is lovely. Petter Rabbit is the sweetest series of stories. I no longer have my copies of these books. Makes me a bit sad. I should order myself a set. ;-)
    Happy Easter! ~ Sarah

  4. Shirl, I love your Beatrix Potter table. You did a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of her stories. I love your bunny with the carrot.
You are going to have such a great reading those stories to your grandbabies. I can just see you now, enjoy!
I am shocked that we have the same bunny dish. It is not like it is a branded item that is readily available. Did you get your thrifting?
Thanks for visiting. Have a joyous Easter. He is risen indeed. Ginger :)
