My heart is heavy. My cat, Squeaker, that I've had for 14 years, went to heaven this morning.
This boy has lived practically his whole life with asthma and diabetes and was on many meds including inhalers (puffers) and insulin.
Still he was patient with me twice a day when I had to give them. He has had numerous bad asthma attacks but always managed to pull through.

This time it was too much for him.

The Albuterol only worked for a little while and then he couldn't breath again.

I took him up to the vets this morning and we helped him on his way to heaven.
He had struggled long enough. He deserved some peace.

I'll see you again Squeaks.

  1. Shirley, I am so sorry. What a regal-looking fellow he was. It is hard to lose a loved pet. I know Squeaker brought the joy of many years of sweet companionship. My thoughts are with you today!

  2. Oh Shirley, I am so sorry. It is so hard to lose our pets. They are family to us. You were a great Mom to him, I know. What a beautiful cat.

  3. Shirley, I'm so sorry for your loss, Squeaker was certainly a hansome soul. I know and understand just how deep you loss is, just know that he was much loved and cared for, you did all you could.
