Well, I finally figured out how to do a re-run! Yea!!! (Thanks to Chari's instructions that I found.) I am just one of the participants in this weeks "Sunday Favorites" at: http://happytodesign.blogspot.com/
This was my first attempt at blogging last May. Had no idea yet about all these "parties"!
I am attempting to get myself organized, simplify my life, become happier and living in each moment. I am a widow and my children are grown. I have a love of animals that is a big part of my life. My dog Rocky was my husband's hunting dog but was really always really attached to me. I have 2 cats and 3 horses. Unfortunately the horses have to be boarded as I only live on one acre. My son Carl is married and he and Linda have two little ones. A 2 yr. old girl named Ava and a 6 month old boy named Jack. My daughter Michele shares my love of animals and one of the horses; the arab, Satire, is her's. She is a professional photographer.
I love my old house and gardens but if I could sell it for a nice horse property I would. I have always wanted to be able to go out into the barn in the morning and sit with my coffee while the horses munch on their hay.
I finally got a vegetable garden in this year after not having one for about 6 years. Things are just starting to pop out of the ground. Don't you just love Spring!
... and look at you! You just bounced right into bloggy land ... congrats! Love that house ... TTFN ~ Marydon
ReplyDeleteShirley--This is a beautiful house and lovely looking grounds. Sometimes its nice to start fresh though and sitting with your horses and coffee sounds very peaceful and serene to me! Congrats on figuring out the re-run!
ReplyDeleteYou have a really lovely home.
ReplyDeleteHi Shirley...
ReplyDeleteWelcome...welcome...WELCOME!!! I'm so happy to have you joing in with Sunday Favorites, my friend! You couldn't have chosen a better post to "rerun"...telling a little about yourself and your family! It really is so very nice getting to meet you!!!
Girl...you have the most beautiful home!!! Ohhh myy...it's my dream home!!! I am really looking forward to seeing some of the interior...sorry, I must admit that I haven't had the chance to do much looking around on your blog...but I do intend on fixing that! I have a question for you though...of course, I enlarged your photo so I could get a "bird's eye" view of that fabulous home...and I noticed in the foreground that you have a pine tree where the boughs appear to be hanging down...almost like a weeping willow. What kind of pine tree is that? It sure is beautiful and very interesting!!!
I live out in the country...and sure do enjoy the easy-going lifestyle! We don't have horses but I really do like them! I always grew up around them...my Sis is quite the horseman or should I say horselady? Hehe! She broke horses for a living...even did barrel racing, etc. Well my friend, thank you so much for joining in with Sunday Favorites and thank you for sharing your beautiful home and your life with us!!! I'm looking forward to getting to know you better!!!
Warmest wishes,
Chari

ReplyDeleteIt was nice getting to know a little about you. I love your house. I always wanted a horse when I was a little girl. But I never did get one. Now I am too old & too fat. But I still love looking at horses. Welcome to Sunday Favorites.
ReplyDeleteHi Shirley. This is my first post to Sunday Favorites as well. The post I chose to submit was written after my first husband died, and while telling the story of our marriage also expressed my concerns for my future.
ReplyDeleteI do understand a lot of what I read in your profile. As the saying goes been there etc.
I poked around your blog a bit and liked what I read. I will be bookmarking so I can take future peeks.
I am in LOVE with your house!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining the rerun party today.
Hooray. You did it. I liked your take on last weeks Sunday Favorites. It really could have been listing some of your favorite things.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get the property you want for you and your horses. I can see you setting up a morning table scape in the barn with your hay bales and the horses.
By the way everyone...you really have to see the photos Shirley's daughter takes. Her online gallery of pictures is so stunning they will take your breath away.
Thank you Lori : ))
