Satire update

28 days Post-Op and Doing Great.

Here he is today after getting his front shoes reset by the farrier. Bright eyed and waiting for lunch!

I took him for his walk outside. He needs to put about 65 lbs. back on.

Loving the grass. He gets little bits a couple times a day. Starting Nov. 2nd he can be out in a paddock for 20 min. twice a day. We'll have to find him a pasture mate though or he'll just stand at the gate and call to the herd. He misses Rauls. Hmmmm, maybe the mini. They get along good . . . .

  1. What a blessing that Satire is doing SO well :o)
I know how relieved you must be.
    Very best wishes

  2. I'm so glad that Satire is doing well. La

  3. What beautiful eyes he glad he is coming along and able to get out to the grass again. He must be so lonely. I love his warm chestnut color and his markings.
He looks so well groomed, he must be so loved. I am sure he will put the weight back on in no time.
    Satire is the perfect name.

  4. This was funny because when I went to your blog, the words came up but the pictures didn't at first. So I read it and first I'm thinking you're talking about a person, then you took him for a walk, so you couldn't be talking about a person, so I'm thinking dog. Then I read that he needed to put on 65 lbs. and I'm thinking, "what kind of dog IS this!".

Then the pictures came up. Makes so much more sense. :-)

  5. Satire continues to do extremely well! And yes he is well loved!
    Signed~ his mommie (Me)
