Easy Peach Cobbler

It's Friday again and time for all those delicious and varied recipes from all over. Thank you Michael at Designs by Gollum for hosting this popular event. Go see what all the participants have cooked up!

Now this recipe I've made lots and lots of times, just not recently; but now that I've made it and remember how good it is, I'll be making it often. It's very easy. The recipe is below.

Melt one stick of real butter in baking pan. (If using a glass dish melt in microwave!!!!!)

Mix flour, sugar and milk (recipe at bottom). Batter can be slightly lumpy.

Pour batter into melted butter (don't mix).

Drain a large can of sliced peaches.

Spoon and arrange sliced peaches on top.

Bake till nicely browned and bubbling.
And here it is in all it's rich goodness. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or just cream is good too.
Recipe for Easy Peach Cobbler:

1 C flour + 1 TBSP baking powder. (Or you can just use a cup of self rising flour)
1 C sugar
1 C milk
Beat together
Melt 1 stick of butter (real butter!) in a 9 X 9 baking pan
Pour batter into pan onto the melted butter (don't mix)
Spoon 1 large (drained) can of sliced peaches into pan
Bake about 35 minutes at 450 degrees.

Enjoy

Happy Friday. I have to eat the whole pan myself : ))

  3. Peaches are definitely one fruit that tastes as good cooked as fresh. I never get around to this sort of thing because I think it is too much trouble but this looks very quick and easy.
