Table for One Please

Thanks to Susan as always for hosting Tablescape Thurdays. Please drop by her beautiful site and look all around. There you will also find all the participants of this party.

This week I decided to stay inside(!) and have a dinner for one in front of the fireplace. Of course, being summer,, we don't have a fire but I'll do another in the winter. I had to fit in my new Windsor chair somehow : ))

I centered this tablescape around some pieces from my brown transfer collection. These three pieces belonged to my Aunt Addah. All three are marked T&R Boote, England. They are the Lahore Pattern from 1880 and have a registry no.

Love the tea pot! It holds quite a lot.

The creamer. I wish I could find the sugar but I think I will just try and get a silver sugar scuttle from eBay. I've bid on a couple but didn't get them.

This lace tablecloth was my Mom's

Crystal wine and candle sticks are newer.

From over head.

I got this silver napkin holder from eBay. It comes in a set of four, all a little different. Very pretty.

Square votive holders are from GW. ($.50 each)

My chair again : )) Also my favorite picture in back of the 3 white arabs.
Hope everyone has a happy and blessed Thursday.
Thanks for dropping by. I'd love if you'd leave me a little hello.

  5. This looks like a Victorian fireside tea to me. Something you might see at an old bed and breakfast. A very lovely recreation! I love that chair too!

I LOVE your Windsor chair too!.. I am just a "young (ha! ha!) grasshopper" watching and learning from all of you!.. and loving every minute of it! I'd love to participate sometime, someday! ~tina

  12. Hi Shirley,

I really like your table. The colors are so warm and relaxing, especially by your beautiful fireplace. I too love your chair, it looks so comfortable, like it's give you a hug when you rest in it's arms. I know your items from your mother and aunt are special treasures.
