Fall and the New Mantle

Haven't been here in awhile but I'm joining "Metamorphosis Monday" with my little change.
You can find all the participants and the wonderful blog, Between Naps On The Porch, here:

The New Mantle

This was the fireplace in my family room before. I've never had a mantle. I've always wanted a mantle!!!!

So last week the man that did my kitchen and dining room brought this beautiful piece. We had drawn it out before so he had some time and made it up for me. It is perfect and just in time for all the big decorating seasons that you need a mantle for!!

It is a little "distressed on the edges and I may distress it a little more.

I put a little candle light on it yesterday.
Love it, love it!!

This was yesterday. My house in the fall with this gorgeous weather we are having. I hope it lasts.

Happy Mumday.

  2. Hi, Shirley,
Love your house on the outside.....a picket fence even! :) Your mantle is beautiful. I've always loved a stone fireplace. I like your simple, uncluttered decorations, too.
