October Tablescaping

Finally, I'm back with the tablescaping. It's been awhile and I hope you enjoy.
Be sure to visit Susan's wonderful blog, Between Naps On The Porch. There you will find all the other participants that tablescape.

October, Pumpkins & Candles

This is the first real tablescape I'm doing in my newly re-done dining room on my "new" dining room table. I had a good time putting this together.

My son was here outside cleaning his boat. He kept poking his head in and asked, "What the h*ll are you doing??" Hard to explain tablescaping to a guy!!!

I got this metal Jack-O-Lantern years ago. It hangs on a stake that you put in the ground but I've lost that! So he's inside this year.

The leaves scattered around were donated by my trees outside.

I couldn't wait till it got dark and I could take photos by candlelight.

So much prettier isn't it!

I love these little plates by Debbie Mumm (Sekura) called Halloween.

Yes, it's only about 2 weeks till Halloween!
Time to dress up my poor dog!
Happy "Tablescape Thursday" everyone.
Shirley

  2. Ooh, this is so pretty, especially by candlelight. I love that you are able to use your own leaves. I live in Florida so let's not go there. I laughed at the part about your son because when I am setting my tablescapes mine (21 y/o) says the same thing. I always know it's coming when he's around.

Have a lovely Tablescape Thursday. Much love!

  9. Beautifully constructed...well conceived. The first 'candlelight shot' is stunning...the lighting is perfection. I see some really good looking Windsor chairs in the background, too. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
