I'm showing a mosaic of my one horses this Monday. Thanks to Mary at Little Red House.
This is Preacher
He is named after one of John Lyons' horses. John Lyons is my favorite clinician.
Preacher is a registered quarter horse. His papered name is Mr. Deemer. This year he is 18 years old. He's sort of a grouchy old gelding but I love his personality! He was a 4H horse before I got him about 5 years ago. He is pretty well trained and is good on trails. He very seldom gets excited about anything (except food!!) He has his forever home with me.
I know this isn't of much interest to non-horse people but it's a big part of my life and I have to show them off every so often : ))
Shirley
I don't know much about horses, since I've never been around them. Nor did I ever learn to ride. But they are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAnd........ -blush- Scary. :-) I mean, I've never been around them to have a horse not seem so biggggggggggggggggggggggggg, that it is scary to me.
Are you laughing? :-) I'll bet you are. :-) Well, I gave you a chuckle, with my "Big & Scary" hu?
^_^
Loved all the photos of your horse. He is beautiful. Can'd have one where I live but live vicariously through all of you who do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful horse. I used to ride. Just beautiful.
ReplyDelete- The Tablescaper
What a beautiful and powerful looking creature. I've never been around animals much and so have a fear of them - but I have always loved the movies "The Man From Snowy River" just for the power of the horses and the beauty of them!.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful boy he is! And I love people who love animals!
ReplyDeleteWonderful mosaic...they are amazing creatures...hope you get your horse property someday!
ReplyDeleteYou've captured Preacher perfectly!
ReplyDeletePreacher is gorgeous, I love that action shot right in the middle of your beautiful mosaic. I rode my first horse just last October at the ripe old age of 52, it was the most exciting and scary thing I think I have ever done :-). Happy MM. gorgeous mosaic. Kathy.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a horse person but Preacher looks like a beautiful animal to me.
ReplyDeleteLove your interesting mosaic.
He is beautiful Shirley! Love the pic of you two with the lake in the background!!
ReplyDeleteHorses aren't a part of my every day life, but I so enjoy seeing them and appreciate them a great deal. I loved seeing your mosaic of Preacher and I especially like the picture of you riding with a great big smile on your face. I also like the one of Preacher galloping even if he looks annoyed to be captured on film.
ReplyDeleteMe, too, I am not a horse person, but he is a beauty!
