Itsy, Bitsy Tablescape in the Kitchen

Thank you Susan for your beautiful inspiring blog (BNOTP) and for hosting this Tablescape Thursday every week. I don't always participate but I always look! The long list of participants can be found at: http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/

I usually always put my tablescape on before ever looking at Susan's because her's are so gorgeous and painstakingly done that I just may decide to forget it and just be a "lurker" but here is my little contribution this week.

You folks have to give me a little break though as I have no dining room at present and this is just my little space on my kitchen table where I eat!!! Soon I won't even have this because my kitchen reno it due to start the first week in February. It seems like it's taken forever to get through the plans, decisions and signing off on things! Will it ever start???

I should've brushed off the table a little better! Oh well, just gaze at the flame!

You can be sure that Rocky, my dog is sitting directly to the right of me here. In fact, if I have to get up, I make sure to carry my plate and even my coffee with me!! I've had experience!

In the next couple months I will have to come up with some really inventive places to do some tablescaping!

The recipe for these wonderful cheesy potatoes will be on Foodie Friday.
Thank you all for visiting. PLEASE leave a comment so I know there's somebody out there : ))

  18. I LOVE this little tablescape. You should dress the table as well when you're eating alone as when you're feeding 10! What a great job you did, too!

  19. I think it is WONDERFUL that you bother to set a pretty place just for yourself! BRAVO to you!
Your dishes are beautiful & dinner looks delish...thanks for the recipe. I have a bag of croutons that seem waaaay to hard for use in salads. Bet they'd be great crushed up on something like this. *Rettabug furiously copies down Shirley's recipe*

In your hunt for a sugar scuttle, try putting in different spellings, such as 'sugar shuttle' or 'sugar scoop'. Some sellers use different terms.
    Good Luck!!
