Happy Tablescape Thursday Everyone. Thank you Susan for hosting this event every week!!
Susan has the wonderful blog "Between Naps On The Porch". It's really beautiful. Go see!!
I must tell you that the dishes I'm using this week for my tablescape, I got at a garage sale this summer. I think it's a setting for 8 and I got it for $10.00!!!!!!!!! $10.00!!!!!!!! I wish I knew some young couple that needed dishes! They will probably go to Goodwill.
The dishes are pretty and delicate. The place mats are from GW and the little wooden napkin rings I got on sale at Pier 1 for $1.00 ea.
I love my little sugar shell spoon that matches my Oneida silverplate. I'm still trying to win a silver sugar skuttle on eBay!! (Try saying all that fast!)
Aren't these guys cute. I got them this past week at Pier 1. They weren't on sale but I got them anyway!! ($5.00) I like them and they go with fall decor too.
Too bad there weren't any blooms on the geraniums but the greenery is nice. (Even that weed in there!)
The sun it going down. I got the candles lit but there's just enough of a breeze I had to put a hurricane shade on the tall candle as it kept going out.
Looks romantic hey? However, it's getting too dark to shoot and the mosquitoes are out!!! Ouch!
Goodnight All . . .
Shirley

This is such a pretty, al fresco setting. If you didn't tell me that it was from a garage sale, I would have thought that it was just a lovely vintage dish set. Could you tell Rocky to pour a cup of tea for me?

What a gorgeous tablescape. I LOVE the dishes. They are stunning. Everything is so pretty and you've used all the perfect accessories. I love the pretty candlelight too. Also want to remind you of the Cloche Party on the 11th of Sept. Click on the button on my sidebar for all the details. Hope to see you there. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteWhat a luscious tablescape this is! So beautiful outdoors with your sweet little table and chairs. And those red birds! I was in Pier 1 last weekend, and if I'd seen those guys, they'd have come home with me. I just love this tablescape!

Love your little birds and that night picture is so pretty -- this is certainly beautiful garden elegance -- hope I can find some of those birds to fly home with me!
ReplyDeleteLove the cardinal S&P. I haven't been to Pier One in years...may have to check them out!

I am very thankful that you mentioned the mosquitoes since our yard often gets overwhelmed with them...we are working on the problem....BUT it is GREAT to hear someone else mention them lol! I love your setting and it IS so romantic with the candle light. The pink napkins just set the whole thing off--they make a big difference. The silverware is sooooooooo shiny ...WOW...I don't think any of mine shines like that (but I usually don't use the real silverware very often....that may change...getting inspired here....)
ReplyDeleteLove your bird S& P shakers--I had some plump robin ones and broke one! My whole family was disappointed--funny!!
Lovely table! The little bird salt and pepper shakers are adorable!
