My Porches

I just found out about Rhonda's 3rd "Summer Porch Party". Her blog is called Rose Colored Glasses. So here I am with some pictures of my porches.

My Home and Her Three Porches.

This is the front door and it's small entrance porch. We don't use this door or the porch much but the cats like to lay here and Rocky (my dog) has a good vantage point of the road from here.

This is approaching my kitchen porch through the front gardens.

I probably sit on this little porch the most! It's just the perfect size for breakfast or for tea.

I plan on getting a better chair though. While these adirondack chairs look good, I don't think they're very comfortable.

Tea anyone?

This is the back of my house and it's big deck. Great for company.

I have a round table and chairs (an ice cream set), I use there. It's the perfect place for lunch or dinner.

Here's a light salad lunch my sister and I had when she was visiting.
Have a happy summer everyone.
Shirley

  3. Thank you so much for coming by my blog. I love your porches. How do you keep them so clean and tidy looking? My are terrible right now; but after I clean and paint and stain next month, I'm hoping they can stand up next to yours!

  13. Hi Shirley
I am so glad you joined my party. You have a beautiful home. I love the picket fence and all the porches and the baskets of flowers hanging on the doors and the pot of blue flowers sitting onthe littel white chair. It all says "welcome" Thanks for making some hot tea. I love it no matter what the temperature outside.
    Hugs, Rhondi

  19. Hi Shirley..my best friend in the whole world is named Shirley..moved away and left her in S.E. Tx; Beautiful Home and isn't it nice to have a different spot to which you can retreat at various times of the day depending on the weather and your mood?? We have several such retreats and WE LOVE IT..my hubby sometimes says "Now where do I go to enjoy this [book, meal or drink] it usually is determined by the sun's intensity and time of day..often in the a.m. we end up on the rather large deck at the back..he built it; Many mornings early we are sitting on the front porch in those big rockers, sometimes it's our place to pray together early in the day..you can see shots of the front at mygrammashouse.blogspot.com..the little screened in porch has been neglected of late but we love it too..come visit-see you again soon :^))
